The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) is strengthening ties with the Ghana Police Service to improve oversight of the petroleum downstream sector.
NPA Chief Executive Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tamakloe Esq. paid a courtesy call on Western Regional Commander DCOP Frank Abrokwah as part of the effort. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Executive Dr. Sheila Addo and other NPA officials.
Also present was Tanker Drivers Union Chairman Mr. George Teye Nyaunu and other union executives.
The meeting focused on measures to enhance compliance, improve operational efficiency, and ensure ethical conduct among players in the sector.
Tamakloe said the Ghana Police Service is a strategic partner in safeguarding the integrity of the industry and upholding regulatory standards nationwide. He added that closer institutional cooperation would help protect consumers, preserve public safety, and build confidence in the sector.
DCOP Abrokwah reaffirmed the Police Service’s commitment to supporting the NPA’s mandate and maintaining law and order within the industry.
