The Volta Regional Minister joined the Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, members of the diplomatic corps and aviation industry leaders to welcome Africa World Airlines’ (AWA) new Embraer E190 aircraft to Ghana.
The arrival of the 102-seater aircraft is a significant boost to Ghana’s aviation sector, strengthening domestic and regional connectivity while creating new opportunities for tourism, trade and investment.
The Minister for Transport highlighted Government’s continued investment in airport infrastructure and improved connectivity as part of efforts to position Ghana as a leading aviation hub in West Africa.
According to the Volta Regional Minister, stronger air connectivity means greater opportunities for the Volta Region to showcase its rich tourism potential, attract investment, and connect businesses and people to the wider world.
He congratulated Africa World Airlines on the important milestone and commended its continued contribution to Ghana’s aviation industry.
