The renowned preacher and founder of Worldwide Miracle Outreach believes Dede Ayew still has an important role to play for the national team, especially when it comes to leadership and motivation within the camp.
Rev. Dr. Tetteh argued that a player’s impact cannot always be measured by goals or statistics alone.
According to him, Dede’s experience and mentality could prove valuable to younger players during high-pressure moments at the tournament.
He reflected on Ghana’s long history of football greats, mentioning legends such as Baba Yara and Mohammed Polo, before insisting that Dede deserves another opportunity with the Black Stars.
“We have been blessed with many football heroes over the years. Even before Abedi Pele, Ghana had players who made the country proud,” he said on GTV.
“I was discussing it with a sheikh recently, and I believe Dede Ayew should be part of the team. I’m personally campaigning for him because of what he brings.”
Rev. Dr. Tetteh praised the former Black Stars captain for his fighting spirit and commitment whenever he represents Ghana.
“He gives everything on the pitch. Dede Ayew is a motivator, and his leadership qualities are obvious. People should remember he captained the Under-20 side that won the World Cup in Egypt in 2009,” he added.
