CENTRAL TONGU
The Central Tongu District Assembly has procured and begun distributing 2,000 pieces of school furniture to basic schools across the district.
According to the Assembly, the consignment includes dual desks for primary and JHS pupils, as well as age-appropriate furniture for KG pupils.
Officials say the intervention is aimed at addressing furniture deficits in public basic schools and creating a more conducive teaching and learning environment.
The distribution will cover schools in various communities within Central Tongu.
District authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to investing in education infrastructure to improve access to quality education.
This latest supply forms part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly to provide logistics and resources to schools in the district.
