The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah has issued a stern warning to metropolitan, municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) within the region.
He ordered them to stop managing ongoing government projects solely through phone calls from their offices, emphasizing that active field oversight is a strict requirement.

He made these during a working visit to the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District to monitor the 24-hour economy market. The Regional Minister made it clear that passive management will not be tolerated.

He stated that if any MMDCE fails to conduct regular site visits, they will face serious repercussions. According to Hon. Eduamoah, when local leaders demonstrate that a project is a top priority through their active presence on the ground, the central government is far more compelled to provide them with the necessary support.

The Regional Minister also emphasized the importance of the visitation to inspect the ongoing 24-hour economy market to identify and resolve operational challenges affecting the rollout of the policy across the region. He noted that on-the-ground monitoring is essential to ensure projects meet their intended goals.

Finally, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. Isaac Yawson also assured the Regional Minister of his total commitment to executing all state-backed initiatives in the area.
Hon. Yawson promised that the 24-hour market project would receive his highest priority.

He pledged to personally monitor the contractors on-site rather than issuing instructions from his desk, ensuring the market is completed to standard and on schedule.
