*An International Missionary of Churches of Christ, Brother Dr Daniel Owusu-Asiamah, has categorically stated that any Christian group (church) that does not bear the name of God or Jesus Christ, is a limited liability company with its own head as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).*
According to him, every genuine church belongs to God (Christ) and for that matter or therefore, every Christian group that does not bear these two holy names, is simply a worldly group parading the streets of the world as a church that belongs to God (Christ).
Citing Ghanaian cultural practices as an instance, Brother Dr Owusu-Asiamah said it was the male parent (father), who had the exclusive right to name his offsprings and nobody else, adding that the same applied to God (Christ) and their churches.
He said since the church was founded by God and not a human being as recorded in Acts of the Apostles chapter two (2), it did not make any logical sense for any human being to arrogate to themselves, the right to take the name of God or Christ off His churches and replace them with weird and sometimes mouthful names which only succeeded in despising the two holy names.
He said the names of Churches that belonged to the Lord Almighty, should be referred to as *Church of God, Church of Christ* or the *Church of the First Born* that were all belonged or referred to *God.*
Brother Dr Owusu-Asiamah therefore implored all those who claim to be Christians, to trace how the names of their churches emerged.
He said if the churches did not bear the name of God but rather were named by human beings born by women on their own volition, then definitely, there was something wrong with the so-called Christian groups.
Backed by extensive biblical references, Brother Dr Owusu-Asiamah said the name of the church that Jesus Christ told Peter that he would build was mentioned in the Holy Bible which people who were really serious could search and locate it.
He said according church history, some of the churches that were founded and named by human beings and not Jesus Christ or God, were Roman Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, Pentecost and International Central Gospel Churches to mention just a few.
