On Friday, 15th May 2026, the Volta River Authority (VRA) donated educational materials to selected schools affected by the flood situation in North Tongu.
The items donated included 8,000 Exercise Note 1 books and 600 mathematical sets to support teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.
The schools that benefited from the donation are:
– Mepe R/C Primary School
– Mepe R/C JHS
– Mepe Presby JHS
– Mepe Degorme D/A Primary School
– Agbetikpo D/A Basic School
– Battor D/A Methodist School
On behalf of the North Tongu District Assembly and the people of the district, The DCE, Hon. Victoria Yawa Doe expressed her sincere appreciation to the Volta River Authority for this thoughtful and timely support towards the education of our children.
She also appreciate the Traditional Authorities and all stakeholders for their continuous collaboration and support in our collective efforts to improve education and community welfare in North Tongu.
