This 34 year old man named Okpegboro, from Ugheli North Area of Delta State, living in a town called Sagbama in Bayalsa State, called one of his friends in Delta State, who needed help and asked him to come over to Sagbama, and start commercial motorcycle riding business (Okada). Okpegboro convinced his friend that there is a higher institution called Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education, located in the area, both students, staff, visitors and business people patronize the Okada business. Okpegboro assured his friend of free accommodation and other necessary assistance. The young man left Delta State and went to stay with Okpegboro in Sagbama, Bayalsa State.
Two weeks later, Okpegboro used pestle to k!ll that his friend, cvt his b0dy p@rts and s0ld the b0dy parts to a buyer from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, who came to buy them. Later the next day, he packed the remaining b0dy p@rts and gently went into the bush and dvmped them, unknown to him that one of his neighbours saw him carrying the suspici0us bag into the bush and decided to keep quiet. Later that day, the neighbour came to Okpegboro and asked him of his friend, Okpegboro told the neighbour that his friend traveled. The neighbour insisted that he needed to enter into Okpegboro’s room. Okpegboro said no, but the neighbour forcefully entered into Okpegboro’s room and saw stains of bl00d everywhere in the room. At this point it became very obvious that Okpegboro has k!lled his friend. Okpegboro wanted to run, but his neighbour held him and shout for help before people gathered and the vigilante later came. Okpegboro confessed to the crim£ and was taken to police station by the vigilante.
The remains of Okpegboro friend’s b0dy was recovered and taken to m0rtuary and Okpegboro was charged to court for mvrder.
Some people have blamed the deceased for trusting Okpegboro while others are saying that the friend did no wrong by trusting his childhood friend. Please what is your thoughts on this issue?
