NORTH TONGU – [18th July 2026]
The District Chief Executive of North Tongu, Hon. Amefadze, says the Volta Region “Resetting Tour” by President John Dramani Mahama has brought renewed hope and visible development to Juapong and the entire North Tongu District.

In a statement, Hon. Amefadze described the tour as a turning point for the constituency, highlighting several key commitments made during the President’s visit.

“From the sod-cutting of the 24-Hour Economy Market in Juapong to the commitment to revive Volta Star Textiles Limited, the planned commencement of the Volivo–Dorfor Adidome Bridge, ongoing road projects, support for our market women, and direct engagement with citizens, the future of our district is brighter than ever,” the DCE stated.

Hon. Amefadze expressed gratitude to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for what he called _“visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to fulfilling his promises.”_

He also commended the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for his advocacy.
“My sincere appreciation also goes to our hardworking MP whose relentless efforts continue to attract transformational projects to North Tongu,” he added.

The DCE concluded that the combined efforts of government and local leadership are positioning North Tongu for growth.

“Together, we are building a stronger, more prosperous and resilient North Tongu,”* he said.
