Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency and Deputy Finance Minister of Ghana, through the Rural Enterprise Programme (REP), has organized a 15-day training session for the Nana Afrakoma Vocational Training Institute.
The institute is a non-formal educational center located in Akwamufie within the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The initiative was designed to support Nana Afrakoma II, the Paramount Queen Mother of the Akwamu Traditional Area, in empowering local youth with employable skills.
During the training, Madam Priscilla Jackson, the program instructor, encouraged the students to take the profession seriously, noting that it does not require much money to set up a business after training.
