The 3,000 pieces of furniture donated by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, are currently being distributed to various schools across the constituency.
The distribution follows several weeks of assembling and preparing the furniture for delivery to beneficiary schools.
The initiative is aimed at addressing furniture challenges and improving the teaching and learning environment for pupils and students in North Tongu.
The District Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Doe, officially handed over the furniture to the Education Directorate, paving the way for onward distribution to the beneficiary schools.
Beneficiary institutions include both Junior High Schools (JHS) and Senior High Schools (SHS) across the constituency.
The intervention has been welcomed as a major boost to education in the area.
