ABURASO, ASHANTI REGION – The Head Pastor of the Kumawui-Bodomase Branch of the Church of Divine Love, Rev. James Adade, has charged young people to be intentional about repositioning their lives if they want to fulfil their God-given destinies.
Rev. Adade made the call when he preached at the climax of the week-long Fire Youth Fellowship (FYF) Week 2026 organized by Fire Trinity Ministry International (FTMI) at Aburaso in the Ashanti Region.
Preaching on the theme *”Repositioning”* with Proverbs 13:20 as his main text, Rev. Adade stressed the need for the youth to reassess their relationships, mindset, and walk with God.
He referenced Luke 2:45-48 and Deuteronomy 28 to drive home his point that relationships can either make or break a person’s future.
“Some friends can give you pleasure now but no future,” he cautioned, urging the youth to surround themselves with people who are genuinely interested in their growth and destiny fulfilment.
According to him, destiny is not determined by family background or birthplace, but by association.
“Your relations determine where you will get to. Life is not about who gave birth to you but who you associate with. Life is not dependent on where you were born but your association,” he stated.
Rev. Adade encouraged the youth to build a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, describing Him as the best friend anyone could have, and called on parents to build strong bonds with their children and guide them to make responsible decisions.
He also cautioned the youth against judging people by outward appearance, noting that appearance can be deceptive, and advised them to dress and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects their values and aspirations.
He further stressed the importance of time management, diligence and hard work, adding that family wealth does not determine destiny.
“A person can rise from a poor family to achieve great things, while someone from a wealthy home can fail if they lack discipline and the right principles,” he said.
He urged the youth to reposition themselves through a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit, respect for parents, positive friendships, and hard work.

The President of the Fire Youth Fellowship, Godfred Osei-Yeboah, popularly known as Dr GOY, also charged members to put into practice the knowledge and spiritual impartation received during the week-long celebration.
He urged them not only to hold on to the teachings but to walk in them and demonstrate the lessons in their daily lives.
Dr GOY expressed gratitude to God for a successful celebration on the theme “Repositioning – Mindset, Holiness and Walk With God,” and thanked the General Overseer and his wife, Apostle Dr and Rev. Alhassan, for their leadership.
He also appreciated Rev. James Adade for his inspiring message, as well as church leaders and the entire membership for their support.
The FYF Week 2026 featured activities such as fasting, an open forum, games, general cleaning and a cinema night.
