ACCRA – The Ministry of Education has announced a rescheduling of the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results.
The results, which were initially scheduled to be released on Monday, August 31, 2026, will now be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
According to the Ministry, the decision was taken to allow additional time for the completion of outstanding processes involving the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS.
The Ministry revealed that school choices for about 20,000 qualified students are yet to be uploaded onto the relevant platforms.
It explained that the extension followed appeals from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools who requested more time to complete the necessary submissions.
“The additional period will help ensure that all qualified students have the opportunity to complete the required processes and have their information properly captured in the placement system,” the Ministry stated.
The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement exercise will determine the Senior High School (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions where qualified Junior High School graduates will be placed.
The Ministry stressed that the postponement is intended to promote fairness and accuracy in the placement process and to minimise challenges that could arise from incomplete student information.
It has therefore urged parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to use the extra days to complete any outstanding submissions to ensure a smooth placement exercise.
The Ministry has assured all stakeholders that the placement results will now be officially released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
