Brodi, Bono Region – A 50-year-old man, Kwame Jack, has allegedly been burnt to death by irate youth at Brodi in the Tain District after he was accused of killing his 43-year-old wife, Abena Donkor.

The tragic incident occurred between Monday night and Tuesday, following a reported misunderstanding between the couple.

How the Incident Unfolded
According to community sources, Jack allegedly attacked and killed his wife before fleeing the community. His sudden disappearance prompted some youth in Brodi to launch a search.

The search reportedly ended at the Brodi Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, where Jack’s body was found.

“A community source confirmed the discovery, saying, ‘The youth at Brodi rushed to the bush and searched for him. We saw the body at Brodi Cemetery this afternoon, and he was dead.’”

Reports indicate that upon finding him, the youth allegedly set Jack ablaze, leading to his death.

Police Begin Investigations
The Nsawkaw Police have taken up the case and commenced investigations into both the alleged murder of Abena Donkor and the subsequent death of Kwame Jack.

The bodies of both the husband and wife have since been deposited at the Nsawkaw Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Police have appealed to residents to remain calm and allow the law to take its course.

“We urge the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and to cooperate fully with investigators,” a police source stated.

Authorities say the exact circumstances leading to the death of Madam Donkor, as well as the events surrounding Jack’s death, are still under investigation.

The incident has left residents of Brodi in shock, with many calling for peace and restraint as police work to establish the full facts of the case.
