A 51-year-old clergyman, Apostle Ubong Bassey Etim, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Calabar High Court for the murder of his 16-year-old daughter.
According to court proceedings, the deceased, who had Down Syndrome, was accused of witchcraft by her father before she was killed.
The court found Etim guilty of murder and handed down the maximum sentence prescribed by law.
