A journey that began with the solemn task of transporting a deceased loved one has ended in a fresh double tragedy for a family in the Volta Region.
Simon Zokah, a popular driver affectionately known as Ayivor or Azoooo, met his untimely death in a horrific road accident at Mafi Akyemfo. He was in the process of conveying a body from Mafi Kumase to the Adidome Mortuary when the fatal crash occurred.
Despite urgent efforts to save him at the Adidome Hospital, he sadly passed away. Ironically, the driver reached the destination before the very body he was transporting, which had to remain at the scene under police supervision.
