On Saturday, July 11, 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Honorable Victoria Amefadze, oversaw the successful relocation of traders from the Juapong Market to their temporary trading site at the Juapong RC Basic School. This significant initiative facilitates the upcoming construction of the 24-Hour Economy Market, a flagship project designed to expand economic opportunities, enhance trading conditions, and improve livelihoods within the Juapong community and the North Tongu District.
The DCE expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of the North Tongu District Assembly, the Assembly Members, traditional authorities, security agencies, market leaders, traders, and all key stakeholders whose collaboration and support ensured a smooth and orderly relocation process. She commended H.E. John Dramani Mahama for his visionary 24-Hour Economy initiative and acknowledged the Member of Parliament and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for his steadfast commitment to the development of North Tongu. “Together, we remain dedicated to delivering transformational projects that enhance the lives of our constituents,” she stated.
