The Upper East Region has reported a total of 1,765 cases of pregnancy among girls aged between 10 and 19 years within the first four months of 2026.

According to data provided by the Upper East Regional Adolescent Health Focal Person at the Regional Health Directorate, Ms. Dora Kulariba, the statistics, covering January to April 2026, underscore a concerning trend in adolescent reproductive health throughout the region.

Pregnancy Cases Among Girls Aged 10–14

Of the total cases, 1,744 involved girls aged 15 to 19, while 21 cases were recorded among children aged 10 to 14.
