The Ministry of Food and Agriculture is scheduled to distribute 40,000 bags of fertilizer and agricultural drones to peasant farmers nationwide on Tuesday, 16th June. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to enhance agricultural productivity, improve food security, and support smallholder farmers, who are essential to Ghana’s economy.
The distribution of fertilizer is expected to assist farmers in increasing crop yields by enhancing soil fertility, while the deployment of drones will modernize farming operations through efficient crop monitoring, pest control, and precise application of agricultural inputs. The program aims to reduce production costs, increase efficiency, and encourage the adoption of modern farming technologies.
