The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has dispatched a team of special investigative and intelligence officers from Accra to Cape Coast to bolster ongoing police operations and support active inquiries into the death of a student from the University of Cape Coast, Innocentia Avinu.

The team is anticipated to collaborate closely with regional command structures to enhance fact-finding efforts and provide additional technical and intelligence support on-site.

“The Ghana Police Service has assured the family of the deceased, the university community, and the general public of its commitment to conducting a professional, transparent, and diligent investigation aimed at establishing the full circumstances surrounding the incident,” stated the police.
