The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Chairman Roger, has pushed back against claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has outperformed the NPP in national development, arguing that such comparisons are both valid and necessary.
Speaking to the media over the weekend, Chairman Roger stressed that governance is a continuous process in which successive administrations build on each other’s work. “Both political parties have, at different times, completed projects started by the other,” he said.
The Chairman pointed out that several projects abandoned by previous NDC administrations were completed and made operational under the NPP government. While he did not list specific projects in Twifo Atti-Morkwa during his remarks, he insisted the NPP’s track record on project completion should be part of any national development debate.

Chairman Roger’s comments were in direct response to Hon. David Vondee, the NDC Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa. He questioned why Hon. Vondee believes Ghanaians should not compare the records of the two parties.
How can Hon. Vondee says the NPP should not be compared to the NDC when the NPP introduced policies like NHIS and Free SHS that have brought relief to many Ghanaian families?” Chairman Roger asked.
