Nicholas met Abigail Cheetham when she already had two children, a boy and a girl. He fell deeply in love and married her immediately. They settled together at Nicholas’s house in Nsawam Aduakrom
Nicholas, A land agent, worked hard to support the family, including Abigail’s two children and his own son, Richmond, whom he brought to live with them.
Years after the marriage, Abigail’s eldest son, “24yrs Prince” completed school and Nicholas (his stepfather) opened a printing press Shop for him. Together, Nicholas and Abigail also had a 4-year-old child.
Their marriage appeared so peaceful until one day, Abigail discovered that Nicholas had impregnated another woman outside the marriage. After confronting him, Nicholas admitted it….She became so angry and demanded land and a substantial amount of money as compensation which Nicholas paid her… so peace could reign Abigail happily accepted the compensation and even went and assured the other woman whom her husband had impregnated that there was no conflict between them. So she could rest assured.
However, investigators allege that Abigail had other plans. On Saturday, March 7, 2026, around 4:00 p.m., Nicholas entrusted Abigail with GH¢30,000 from a land sale
All this while Abigail had already informed her son, Prince, about her plan to kill Nicholas and thought that was the perfect day to execute the plan. They needed an accomplice so Prince recruited his friend, who was promised GH¢8,000 for his involvement to
unalive his stepfather.
That night, at about 12:30 a.m., the three allegedly attacked Nicholas while he was deeply asleep, they held him tightly and Prince was the one who reportedly stabbed Nicholas multiple times in his chest area. During the incident.. Nicholas’s 15-year-old son “Richmond”, reportedly witnessed what happened through a window. After disposing of Nicholas’s dead body the suspects realized Richmond had seen them so they attacked him as well, leaving him $£verely !njur£d and attempting to dispose of him. Miraculously, Richmond survived and escaped to a nearby house, and informed neighbors about the incident
The matter was reported to the chiefs at Nsawam Aduakrom and the case was handed over to the Ghana Police Service. The following morning, the police arrested Abigail Cheetham and her 24-year-old son Prince. And do you know what happened?
