The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, *Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa*, has presented *100 deep freezers* to market women affected by the relocation of the Juapong Market to a new site.
The donation is aimed at cushioning the traders against expenses and losses incurred as a result of the move, and to help them re-establish their businesses at the new location.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Ablakwa reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of traders in North Tongu and pledged continued support to ensure the transition does not negatively impact their livelihoods.
The market women expressed gratitude to the MP and Minister for the intervention, stating that the deep freezers will help them preserve perishable goods and minimize losses.
The relocation of the Juapong Market forms part of efforts to modernize trading infrastructure, improve sanitation, and create a more conducive environment for the construction of the 24-hr Model Market to commerce in the constituency.
