Two station masters at the Ashaley Botwe Lorry Station have been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill a woman over a GH¢91,810 debt.

The suspects have been identified as 44-year-old Abubakari Ateni, the current station master, and 45-year-old Eric Tetteh, a former station master.

According to Police, Abubakari, who also worked as the woman’s errand driver, owed her GH¢91,810. When the woman demanded repayment, Eric allegedly advised him to kill her to avoid further embarrassment.

Police reports indicate that the two first attempted to strangle the woman themselves but failed. They then decided to hire a contract killer.

Unknown to them, the man they contacted was a community informant working with the Madina Divisional Police. The informant alerted the Police, leading to their arrest.

The suspects are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
