A 26-year-old driver, Kofi Nti, alias Agoogo, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment by the Bekwai Circuit Court for stealing five sound amplifiers and a can of emulsion paint valued at GH¢3,300 at Adagya in the Ashanti Region.
Nti is said to have opened the door and entered the veranda of his neighbour, Sarkodie Eric, on August 14, 2026 around 1:10 a.m., before stealing five sound amplifiers valued at GH¢2,800 and a can of Top Coat emulsion paint valued at GH¢500.
He is said to have sold four of the stolen amplifiers to a scrap dealer, Rashid Abdul Rahim, for GH¢140.
He was convicted and sentenced by the Bekwai Circuit Court after he admitted to the offences.
_Stealing items valued at GH¢3,300 and selling them for GH¢140? Could drugs have facilitated the sale?_
