DAILY NEWSFLASH – The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has engaged key stakeholders in the poultry sector to review progress under the Nkoko Nketenkete Initiative and to chart the course for its next phase of implementation.
The stakeholder meeting was held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Participants included officials from MoFA, the *Feed Ghana Secretariat, representatives from regional and district agricultural directorates, the National Poultry Farmers Association, and other actors across the poultry value chain.
Discussions centered on strengthening local poultry production, improving market access, reducing production costs, and addressing challenges encountered during implementation.
Stakeholders also shared success stories from beneficiaries and proposed measures to make the initiative more effective and sustainable as it is rolled out nationwide.
Recommendations from the engagement will inform the design and execution of the next phase of the initiative, reaffirming MoFA’s commitment to building a more competitive and sustainable poultry industry in Ghana.
