The Minority Leader of Ghana’s Parliament and MP for Effutu Constituency, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has donated GH¢40,000 to Tsiame Senior High Technical School to support the completion of its dormitory project.

Purpose of the donation
According to the school, the support is intended to help complete the dormitory facility and enhance its capacity to fully transition into the boarding school system.

School authorities say the new dormitory will help accommodate more students and improve living conditions on campus.

Giving back to his roots
Though Hon. Afenyo-Markin represents Effutu Constituency in the Central Region, he hails from Tsiame in the Volta Region.

He made the contribution as a native of the community, describing it as part of his commitment to the development of his hometown and its educational institutions.

He urged stakeholders, alumni, and other philanthropists to also support the school to complete the project on time.

School’s response
Management and students of Tsiame SHS Technical expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that it will go a long way to ease accommodation challenges and boost enrollment.
