Mama Alovi Magbeza II, Queen Mother of Dorfor Agoveme, has urged traditional leaders to take a firm stance on social issues affecting young girls.
Speaking during the Dorfor Queen Mothers Union 2-day capacity-building workshop, she expressed concern over the rising cases of teenage pregnancy and indecent dressing among the youth in the area.
She called on all Queen Mothers to lead education campaigns in their communities on the long-term consequences of such behavior.
“Let us make it our mandate to guide the youth and promote values that protect their dignity and future,” Mama Magbeza stated.
She emphasized that Queen Mothers have a critical role to play in mentoring young girls and ensuring their prospects are not derailed by harmful practices.
