The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markins, has donated 100 brand-new laptops to newly posted teachers in the constituency under his “One Teacher, One Laptop” Initiative.

The donation forms part of efforts to equip educators with digital tools to enhance teaching and learning in schools across Effutu.

79 teachers receive laptops
At the presentation ceremony held yesterday, 79 out of the 100 beneficiaries received their laptops.

The remaining 21 teachers are expected to receive theirs when they report to their respective schools at the start of the new academic year.

Commitment to education
Speaking at the event, Hon. Afenyo-Markins said the initiative reflects his “unwavering commitment to supporting education in the constituency.”

He noted that providing teachers with laptops will improve lesson preparation, research, and the integration of technology into classrooms, ultimately raising the standard of education in Effutu.

The MP added that investing in teachers is key to producing better learning outcomes for students and positioning the constituency for academic excellence.

The “One Teacher, One Laptop” Initiative is one of several education interventions being rolled out by the Effutu MP to support both students and teachers in the area.
