Police have launched an investigation into the deaths of a driver and his mate who were found unresponsive in a hotel room at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.
The deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Emmanuel Ayisi, a driver, and his mate, Emmanuel Dankyi.
According to police sources, the two men travelled from Donkorkrom and checked into Elsie Hotel in Nkawkaw after arriving late in the day. They were later found dead in their room after spending the night at the facility.
Police were alerted to the incident and visited the scene to begin investigations into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
The bodies have since been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary in Nkawkaw for preservation and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the hotel manager and a security guard have been arrested to assist with investigations as police work to determine the cause of the deaths.
