Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced the next phase of his constituency support drive — this time focused on farmers.
In a Facebook post, the MP said that after the donation of freezers to market women in Juapong, his office will now turn attention to agriculture.
Starting this week, over 5,000 farmers across North Tongu are expected to benefit from free fertilizers, seedlings, and farmer support services.
“We shall leave no constituent behind,” Hon. Ablakwa stated. He explained that the intervention is part of efforts to boost agriculture, increase food production, and improve livelihoods in the constituency.
The support for farmers comes weeks after market women in Juapong received freezers to help them preserve goods and expand their businesses.
Public Reaction
The announcement has been welcomed by many constituents who say the direct support is impacting homes and businesses.
However, some residents are also asking whether such visible development work makes it necessary to interfere in branch executive elections.
“With all these, does he have to interfere in branch executive elections? His works have spoken for him already,” one constituent commented.
