The Accra High Court has rejected an emergency application submitted by Abu Trica, which sought to prevent his extradition to the United States.

This ruling represents another legal setback for Abu Trica, thereby permitting the continuation of the extradition process.

His legal representatives had filed the emergency application following the court’s earlier dismissal of his challenge against the extradition order.

Abu Trica is sought by U.S. authorities for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering related to a romance scam that defrauded elderly individuals of over $8 million.

He has consistently denied the allegations and has been contesting the extradition through the Ghanaian judicial system.

With this recent ruling, Ghanaian authorities are now authorized to advance the necessary legal procedures to extradite him to the United States, unless subsequent court actions effectively delay or overturn this decision.
