A Level 300 university student has reportedly been arrested in connection with the death of her boyfriend, whom she allegedly poisoned after accusing him of pressuring her to terminate three pregnancies during their relationship and subsequently abandoning her for another woman.
According to reports, the tragic incident is believed to have arisen from emotional distress following the dissolution of their relationship. Investigators have reportedly recovered a handwritten note purportedly left by the suspect, which details her feelings of betrayal, heartbreak, and despair.
In the note, the woman allegedly asserted that her boyfriend, identified as Chiagozie, persuaded her to undergo three abortions, an experience she described as causing her significant emotional and physical pain. She further accused him of ending their relationship and moving on with another woman, leaving her in a state of devastation.
Part of the note reportedly stated:
“I am writing this letter with a heart full of pain and tears in my eyes. To my family, I am sorry for what I am about to do. Chiagozie has damaged me completely. The most painful part is that I aborted three pregnancies for him. He has hurt me so much that I can never forgive him. There is no reason for me to continue living because the pain is too much to bear.”
Authorities are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding this case.
