The Volta Regional Political Coordinator, Hon. Ben-Habib Sikiru Abibu, has inspected ongoing construction works on the 20-kilometre Ho–Kpetoe Road, a key infrastructure project being undertaken under the Government’s Big Push Programme. The road project, being executed by China Railway No. 5 Engineering Ghana Limited, is making steady progress, with works advancing according to schedule. During the inspection tour, Hon. Ben-Habib Sikiru Abibu expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and commended the contractor for its commitment to the successful execution of the project. The Ho–Kpetoe Road is expected to be completed by November 2027 and is anticipated to significantly improve transportation, enhance economic activities, and strengthen connectivity between communities along the corridor. Addressing officials and engineers on site, Hon. Ben-Habib Sikiru Abibu stressed the importance of maintaining high construction standards throughout the project. He noted that while early completion would be welcomed, quality must remain the foremost priority. He emphasized that the Government is committed to delivering durable infrastructure that will serve residents for many years, adding that quality workmanship and timely delivery must go hand in hand. The inspection forms part of ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of major development projects across the Volta Region and ensure that contractors adhere to agreed standards and timelines.
