“I saved my nude videos, sex tapes, and pornography in a folder named ‘Church Videos’ so no one would ever open it.”

She shared how she was trapped in immorality and lust. Every explicit video she received or recorded was carefully hidden inside a folder on her phone labeled “Church Videos.”

She could freely hand her phone to friends and family without fear.

The moment people saw the folder’s name, they immediately lost interest, assuming it contained sermons, church activities, or spiritual content.

No one ever discovered what was really inside.

It was a clever deception using the name church to hide what was completely contrary to it.

But that confession made me think.

Some of us may not have a folder called “Church Videos” filled with pornography.

But many of us have mastered the art of giving sinful things holy names.

✨️We call compromise “freedom.”

✨️We call lust “love.”

✨️We call addiction “struggle.”

✨️We call disobedience “human weakness.”

✨️We call secret sin “nobody’s business.”

We keep dressing wounds that need healing and renaming chains that need breaking.

The frightening thing about sin is not when everyone sees it.

The frightening thing is when you become comfortable hiding it.

When you can worship publicly and indulge privately.

When your Bible is open but your heart is closed.

When your mouth speaks about God but your secret life speaks louder.

Many people are no longer fighting lust.

✨️They are feeding it.

✨️They protect it.

✨️They create private spaces for it.

✨️They budget time for it.

✨️They make excuses for it.

And slowly, what was once a temptation becomes an identity.

One of the greatest signs that something is taking God’s place in your heart is this:

You can spend two hours watching things that weaken your spirit, but ten minutes of prayer feels too long.

You can memorize movie scenes but cannot remember the last scripture that truly changed you.

You can stay awake all night chatting with someone who stirs your flesh, but struggle to stay awake while seeking God.

Many of us claim to love God.

We call ourselves Christians.

We say we are God’s chosen people.

Yet when a video about Jesus, faith, prayer, or spiritual growth appears on our screen, we scroll past it within seconds.

But when we come across a romantic scene, a sensual video, or suggestive content, we stop….

We watch…

Sometimes we even search for the movie title in the comments so we can find and watch more.

What does that have to say about our appetite?

That should concern us.

Not because God is looking for perfect people.

But because many of us have become more passionate about feeding our flesh than feeding our spirit.

We are raising a generation that knows how to hide sin but does not know how to heal from it.

A generation that craves validation more than transformation.

A generation that would rather appear holy than become holy.

And social media has made it worse.

✨️People are rewarded for exposure.

✨️Attention has become a currency.

✨️Modesty is mocked.

✨️Purity is called old-fashioned.

✨️Conviction is labeled judgment.

And many are sacrificing their dignity, posting their nude photos on the altar of likes, views, followers, and temporary applause.

But no amount of attention can satisfy a soul that is starving for God.

No number of followers can fill the emptiness that comes from being disconnected from your Creator.

Be careful what you feed.

Whatever you repeatedly entertain will eventually gain influence over you.

✨️If you feed lust, lust will grow.

✨️If you feed bitterness, bitterness will grow.

✨️If you feed pride, pride will grow.

✨️If you feed your spirit, your spirit will grow.

The question is not what you call the folder.

The question is: what is really inside your heart?

Because God does not only see what people can see.

He sees what is hidden behind the label.

Even the Bible confirms:

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8
