Most of us spend our lives chasing after miracles, thinking that if we pray hard enough, we can force God to move. We treat prayer like a transaction, believing that our words are the only thing that unlocks His favor. But there is a higher level of living where prayer does not have to pursue a miracle, because the miracle arrives before the prayer is even uttered.
“When your heart is right before God, He enjoys the pleasures of His presence,” says Dr. Mensa Otabil. “We have to get to the place in our lives where miracles are running after us. God’s hand is running after us.”
When your devotion is total and your heart is fully aligned with Him, you reach a state where God is answering requests you haven’t even made. You wake up in the morning and find yourself being blessed before you have even had time to pray. You encounter needs and find that God has already provided the solution. This is not about your ability to beg; it is about the posture of your heart. When your relationship with God is your priority, you stop chasing the miracle and start living in the constant overflow of His goodness.

Wisdom Nuggets:
1. Move beyond the transaction: Stop viewing prayer as a way to “get” things. See it as a way to deepen your devotion. When your heart is right, your needs are already covered by His presence. (Matthew 6:33)
2. The miracle precedes the prayer: There is a level of intimacy where God knows what you need before you open your mouth. He is already working on your behalf, even when you haven’t yet asked. (Isaiah 65:24)
3. Position yourself for favor: Miracles should not be something you are constantly struggling to catch. If you align your heart with God, you become a magnet for His hand. Favor will start running after you. (Psalm 23:6)
4. Total devotion is the key: God is not looking for religious formulas; He is looking for a heart that is completely His. When your devotion is total, your provision becomes automatic. (Psalm 37:4)
5. Trust His timing and His knowledge: You do not have to worry about the details of your life. Since God is already answering prayers you haven’t even thought of yet, you can rest in the joy of His presence today. (Philippians 4:6-7)
