Investigative journalist Erastus Asare Donkor has reacted to reports that the Commander of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS), Col. Buah, is being replaced in what sources within the Ghana Armed Forces describe as a routine military rotation.
Commenting on the development, Erastus expressed hope that the incoming commander would sustain and even surpass the current efforts in the fight against illegal mining, which he described as a “cancer” destroying the country’s natural resources and threatening livelihoods.
