On Tuesday, 26th May 2026, The North Tongu DCE joined the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Mohammed Avorna Akape, representatives of the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat, Fidelity Bank and other stakeholders on a working visit to Hari Agro Feed and Foods at Volo in the North Tongu District.
During the visit, the Managing Director, Mr. Hari K. Vallurupalli, took them on a tour of the farms and shared the company’s vision of expanding agricultural production and establishing a sugar factory as part of a broader agro-industrial transformation agenda. The integrated production model and commitment to value addition present enormous opportunities for employment creation, agribusiness growth and economic transformation within the district and the Volta Region at large.
Hon. Victoria commend all stakeholders for their commitment to attracting investment and promoting industrial growth under the Government’s 24-Hour Economy agenda. North Tongu remains ready to support initiatives that create jobs, empower our people and strengthen local economic development.
