A PET Scan facility was on Wednesday morning commissioned by President Mahama at the Swedish Ghana Medical Centre in Accra, something the President described as a major milestone in Ghana’s journey towards world-class healthcare delivery and medical sovereignty.
The diagnostic centre will help strengthen early cancer detection, improve treatment outcomes and help reduce the need for Ghanaians to travel abroad for specialist medical care.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and the management of the Swedish Ghana Medical Centre collaborated to get the equipment.
