A wave of grief has swept through Konongo Odumase M/A Basic School following the heartbreaking loss of two teachers on the same day.
A male teacher, Francis Aquah, popularly known as “General,” reportedly fell ill during the vacation period and sadly passed away on the very day school reopened.
In a shocking and painful twist, a female teacher, Grace Stepheny, affectionately called “Obaamua,” is said to have collapsed after hearing the news of his death. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The double tragedy has plunged the school and the wider Konongo Odumase community into deep mourning, with many describing the incident as devastating and difficult to comprehend.
Tributes continue to pour in for both educators, who are being remembered for their dedication, compassion, and lasting impact on their students.
