Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, South Tongu DCE, expressed her disappointment during the sod-cutting ceremony for the new Sogakope Sports Complex.
While the ceremony marked a huge milestone for sports and youth development in the Sogakope district, the DCE didn’t hold back on the challenges of land ownership. She lamented that projects intended to bring prosperity often turn into battlegrounds for land disputes, which only serves to delay progress and discourage investment.
She called on all stakeholders to unite and support the construction of the sports complex, ensuring that South Tongu remains a hub for development and talent and warned that these internal disputes are the biggest threat to the district’s progress.
