Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has taken a sharp swipe at the NPP administration, blaming the worsening tidal wave crisis on the abandonment of sea defense projects initiated under President Mahama’s previous government.

Addressing chiefs and residents of the affected communities during President Mahama’s assessment tour, Hon. Gunu expressed deep disappointment over the lack of continuity in critical infrastructure projects. His remarks echo the frustrations of many in the Anlo areas, who have watched their homes and livelihoods disappear into the sea.

Beyond the criticism, Hon. Gunu assured the people of President Mahama’s unwavering support. He emphasized that the NDC leader is committed to prioritizing and “fixing the problem” once and for all to ensure the safety of coastal dwellers.
