JUAPONG SOKPEKOFE – A 50-year-old woman identified as Gbafa Abla has been found dead in her bathroom at Juapong Sokpekofe in the North Tongu District.
The deceased was last seen alive on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and was discovered three days later on Wednesday, August 27, 2026, after relatives raised concern over her whereabouts.
According to family sources, relatives became worried after they had not heard from her for some days and went to her residence, where she was found dead.
Information gathered indicates that Madam Gbafa Abla had two children and had been battling an illness for several years.
She was reportedly living alone and preferred to keep people away because of her condition, except her children – one residing at 37 in Accra and the other living outside the country – and another woman identified as Madam Gbafa.
The circumstances surrounding her death are not yet clear. The Police have taken the body for further examination while investigations continue to establish the cause of death.
