ACCRA – The Minerals Commission has warned the public against individuals and unauthorised entities allegedly offering jobs or promising to facilitate recruitment into the Commission in exchange for money.
In a statement issued by its Communications Directorate, the Commission said it has become aware of persons falsely claiming to be authorised to recruit on its behalf.
It stated categorically that it has not contracted any individual, agent or group of persons to recruit on its behalf.
The Commission stressed that recruitment into the public service of Ghana is free and that it does not and will never demand any form of payment, down payment, facilitation fee or money in exchange for employment.
“The Commission does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process, nor does it engage private agents to recruit on its behalf,” the statement said.
According to the Commission, all official recruitment opportunities, when available, will be advertised through the national dailies, its official website at http://mincom.gov.gh, its verified social media handles and reputable news portals.
It has therefore urged prospective applicants to rely only on those official channels for authentic information on vacancies and recruitment procedures.
The Commission cautioned the public to desist from engaging with any person or group making such representations and encouraged anyone approached with such offers to report to the nearest law enforcement agency or through the Commission’s official contact channels.
It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and integrity in all its operations and regretted any inconvenience caused by the activities of fraudsters.
