OLD TAFO AKYEM, EASTERN REGION
Several students of WBM Zion Senior High School, AMEZSS, at Old Tafo Akyem in the Eastern Region are receiving treatment after a suspected food poisoning incident.
The affected students have been rushed to the Tafo Government Hospital and Kukurantumi Community Hospital for medical attention.
The exact cause of the illness is yet to be confirmed.
While some students suspect rice bought from the school canteen, others believe it may be linked to kenkey served in the school dining hall.
School management and health authorities have been notified and are expected to launch investigations to determine the cause of the incident.
