On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Honorable Victoria Amefadze, participated in the Regional Engagement of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) Administrator, held at the Ho West District Assembly Conference Hall in Dzolokpuita.
This engagement convened key stakeholders, including the Volta Regional Minister, Honorable James Gunu, the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund, Mr. Michael Harry Yamson, Municipal and District Chief Executives, and officials from the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, to discuss strategies for the effective and impactful utilization of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
The discussions underscored the significance of innovation, accountability, and prudent financial management in the utilization of the Common Fund, aimed at accelerating local economic development, creating sustainable employment opportunities, and enhancing the livelihoods of the community.
The District Chief Executive expressed her commitment to ensuring that North Tongu optimizes all available resources to facilitate meaningful development and improved public services. She also commended His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for his dedication to strengthening local governance and promoting equitable development throughout the nation.
