Unverified reports indicate that nine individuals are currently unaccounted for following severe flooding in the Awutu Senya East Municipality, which resulted from hours of torrential rainfall.
Accounts from affected communities reveal that seven individuals attempted to relocate to the roadside as floodwaters rapidly ascended. Unfortunately, they were caught in the surging waters during their journey. Local residents who responded to the situation successfully rescued four of these individuals; however, the remaining three have not been located and are presently unaccounted for.
In a separate incident within the same vicinity, three additional individuals are believed to have been swept away by the swift floodwaters, raising the total number of missing persons in that community to six.
Further reports from Tuba describe a distressing situation in which a woman, accompanied by her two children, was traversing floodwaters when they were all carried away by the strong current. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.
