The to consider the 2024 National Annual Progress Report and make recommendations that could serve as a guide in the economic performance of the year ahead.
Appearing before the Committee today was the Ministry of Finance led by the Deputy Minister Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Dr. Nii Moi Thompson of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) and Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu of Ghana Statistical Service.
After various presentations from the Ministry and its Agencies, the Chairman of the Committee Hon. Eric Afful was of the view that the micro economy stability, debt to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ratio and other indicators didn’t look good during the year under review, hoping that the 2025 annual progress report would be better.
In response the Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem assured the Committee that his Ministry is doing everything within its mandate to make the economy perform better than it was in 2024.
