The Asuogyaman District Assembly has honoured the management, teachers and students of Anum Presbyterian Technical Institute (PRESTECH) for their outstanding performance at the Ghana Robotics Competition (GRC) 2026.
Hon. Godwin Bobobee, District Chief Executive, together with the District Coordinating Director, received the school delegation at the District Office and congratulated them for bringing honour to the entire district.
What makes the achievement remarkable is that PRESTECH participated for the first time, yet competed strongly against well-established senior high schools across the country.
A Record-Breaking Performance
The PRESTECH Tech Titans won in three major categories:
– 1st Place: Robotics Championship, Champions of the Stars League
– 3rd Place: Robotics Competition, won by the school’s second team
– 2nd Place: Innovation Challenge, for creativity and practical technological solutions
The victory came with major rewards, including partial tertiary education scholarships for the winners, a financial award, a shopping voucher, and a poly tank for the school.
Even more inspiring, the winning team now has the opportunity to represent Ghana at an international robotics championship in the United States of America.
The District leadership praised not only the students, but also the administrators and teachers whose dedication prepared the young innovators for the competition.
This is more than a victory for one school. It is a victory for Asuogyaman District, a proud moment for technical and vocational education, and an inspiration to every young person who dares to dream, create and innovate.
The Assembly is encouraging parents, educational institutions, stakeholders and development partners to continue investing in STEM, robotics and innovation.
PRESTECH Tech Titans, you have made Asuogyaman proud. The journey does not end here. We look forward to seeing Ghana’s ingenuity shine on the international stage.
Congratulations to Anum Presbyterian Technical Institute, its management, teachers and the incredible Tech Titans!
One school. One district. One proud achievement. A brighter future for Ghana.
