Residents of Kasoa Akweley Peace Town were thrown into shock after a young woman believed to be in her 20s was found hanging from a mango tree on October 4, 2026.
Her identity is yet to be confirmed.
According to local accounts, residents reportedly heard screams around midnight but did not go out to investigate.
The circumstances surrounding her death have raised serious concerns among the community, with many questioning how the incident could be suicide. There is growing speculation that she may have been sexually assaulted and her body later placed in the tree to make it appear as a suicide.
The Police have launched a full investigation into the case.
The body of the deceased has since been conveyed to the mortuary for autopsy and further examination to establish the actual cause and circumstances of death.
